Description
The mountain peltops (Peltops montanus) is a species of bird in the family Cracticidae. It is found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Feeding Habits
Mountain Peltops primarily consumes insects such as beetles, bugs, and large moths. It employs a sallying feeding method, where it swoops from a high perch to capture prey and often returns to the same spot.
Habitat
Mountain Peltops predominantly resides in montane rainforests, often utilizing the tall forest trees situated at the edges of clearings, such as landslips, treefalls, riverbanks, and roadsides. These birds are also observed in undisturbed virgin forests, favoring emergent trees or forest ridges. They are commonly found in areas with a mix of open spaces and substantial tree coverage.
