Feeding Habits
White-browed Guan frequent Ziziphus joazeiro trees for food and consume Copaifera langsdorfii and Eugenia cearensis seeds, as evidenced by their feces. They forage on the ground for fallen fruits, seeds, and insects in small quantities. They have adapted to feed on coarse-ground corn at designated feeding areas and drink water regularly, particularly in dry conditions. White-browed Guan may forage alone or in groups of up to 38.
Habitat
White-browed Guan thrives in arid environments characterized by semi-deciduous forests and open woodlands dominated by Anadenanthera macrocarpa. These birds are also found in degraded areas, including those near human settlements, and are particularly abundant in vicinities adjacent to temporary rivers within the broader geographical region of lowland dry forests.
