Description
The streak-fronted thornbird (Phacellodomus striaticeps) is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is found in the eastern half of the Puna grassland. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.

Feeding Habits
Streak-fronted Thornbird primarily consumes Lepidoptera larvae, foraging from ground to canopy. Often in pairs, streak-fronted Thornbird gleans and probes for arthropods on branches, moss, and epiphytes.
Habitat
Streak-fronted Thornbird typically inhabits arid montane scrubland characterized by the presence of columnar cacti and Polylepis woodlands. It is also found in areas with the Puya raimondii plant, particularly in its local range. Additionally, streak-fronted Thornbird adapts to human-modified landscapes, frequenting agricultural fields and vicinity of human settlements.
