  The black-throated hermit (Phaethornis atrimentalis) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. This small hermit is found in the western Amazon in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its diet pertains to anthropods and flowering plants such as Costus, Aechmea, Palicourea and Drymonia.
