The white-bearded hermit (Phaethornis hispidus) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical swampland.

Habitat

Additionally, white-bearded Hermit are found in secondary growths, Heliconia and bamboo thickets, swamp forests, and even in some plantations. Beyond the lowland regions, white-bearded Hermit adapts to wetter zones including gallery forests in campo cerrado and llanos environments, as well as in semi-deciduous forests.
