Description
The sooty-headed wren (Pheugopedius spadix) is a species of bird in the family Troglodytidae. It is found in Colombia and Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Feeding Habits
Sooty-headed Wren chiefly consumes invertebrates, including beetles, bugs, ants, crickets, caterpillars, and spiders. They forage actively, often displaying a unique preference for certain prey types while adapting their hunting strategies to the availability of food sources.
Habitat
Sooty-headed Wren predominantly resides in humid forests, which include forest edges and cloud forests, notably those with substantial moss growth. They are adapted to dense secondary forest environments as well. They are typically found at elevations ranging from 800 to 1800 meters, with occurrences as low as 400 meters in certain regions.
