Feeding Habits
Sichuan Leaf Warbler consume insects and larvae, foraging both in the canopy and understory, often in mixed-species flocks. Known for frequent hovering and flycatching, they exhibit this behavior more than related species.
Habitat
The sichuan Leaf Warbler is typically found in various types of montane forests, predominantly in areas with a mix of spruce and fir trees, complemented by broadleaf deciduous vegetation and rhododendron undergrowth. It also inhabits pine forests or regions where coniferous and broadleaf species intermingle, as well as in zones with a majority of broadleaf deciduous trees situated near the cooler, higher spruce-dominated areas. During the non-breeding season, the sichuan Leaf Warbler descends to lower altitudes, frequenting the foothill regions.
