Feeding Habits
Sulphur-bellied Warbler predominantly consumes small insects such as beetles and their larvae, as well as molluscs. It forages alone or in pairs, often on the ground amid mossy boulders, exhibiting nervous wing flicks and creeping along tree trunks and branches with distinctive sideways movement.
Habitat
Sulphur-bellied Warbler's typical habitats are dry stony mountain slopes and boulder-strewn hillsides with low vegetation, including scattered juniper and stunted pines, alongside other shrubs. Outside the breeding season, sulphur-bellied Warbler occupies lower-altitude deciduous woodlands with thick underbrush, often near rocky areas, steep ravines, and old structures. During migration, sulphur-bellied Warbler can be found in forests, wooded valleys, and areas with thorny scrub and bushes near water sources.
