Description
The Iberian chiffchaff (Phylloscopus ibericus) is a species of leaf warbler endemic to Portugal, Spain and North Africa, west of a line stretching roughly from the western Pyrenees via the mountains of central Spain to the Atlantic.

Iberian Chiffchaff predominantly feeds on insects, occasionally sipping nectar by hovering near flowers, similar to P. collybita. Lacks unique dietary adaptations, mirroring the foraging behavior of related species.
Habitat
Iberian Chiffchaff predominantly inhabits deciduous woodlands in areas with a Eurosiberian climate and can be found in cooler, humid microclimates resembling these conditions in Mediterranean zones. They frequent oakwoods, mixed deciduous woods on shaded hillsides, riverine forests, and densely vegetated areas near watercourses. In Africa, during winter, they are known to occupy tamarisk stands, acacias, and sparse woodlands.
