Description
The ashy-throated warbler (Phylloscopus maculipennis) is a species of leaf warbler (family Phylloscopidae). It was formerly included in the "Old World warbler" assemblage. It is found in Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are temperate forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

Feeding Habits
Ashy-throated Warbler feeds primarily on small insects and larvae. They forage actively in treetop canopies, often flicking their wings and tail, and may join mixed-species flocks outside the breeding season.
Habitat
Ashy-throated Warbler occupies mixed forests dominated by oak and conifers, with dense undergrowth consisting mainly of rhododendrons and various shrubs. During the breeding season, it favors higher altitude woodlands, while it descends to broadleaf and secondary forests in the foothills and lowlands when not breeding, typically inhabiting regions with ample vegetation cover.
