Feeding Habits
Grey-hooded Warbler predominantly eats tiny spiders and insects, including caterpillars, and occasionally small berries. It forages mainly in mid-canopy, employing restless searches and wing flicks to glean prey from foliage and executing short sallies to catch flies.
Habitat
The grey-hooded Warbler frequents montane regions, predominately dwelling within broadleaf forests, predominantly oak, as well as mixed forests combining broadleaf and coniferous trees. These environments are characteristically open, interspersed with dense shrubberies and clearings. During the non-breeding season, the grey-hooded Warbler extends its range to foothills and occasionally reaches the upper plains, adapting to gardens and areas near water.
