Habitat
The scaly-bellied Woodpecker primarily occupies a range of forest habitats, including boreal and temperate forests, as well as subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is found in regions characterized by coniferous and mixed woodland, often associated with trees like oaks, ash, juniper, and various species of pine. Scaly-bellied Woodpecker demonstrates adaptability to different environments, residing in juniper scrub-forest, dry deciduous forests, tamarisk scrub, and even in arid areas with suitable tree cover.
