  Feeding Habits
Lesser Masked Weaver primarily consumes insects such as caterpillars, grasshoppers, and termites, along with seeds, fruits, and nectar, especially from aloes. They forage in tree canopies, probing for prey, and also feed on human-provided maize porridge. Unique findings include snail shells in their diet and pollen-covered faces from nectar feeding.
    Habitat
The lesser Masked Weaver typically inhabits bushed and wooded grasslands and is frequently found in cultivated areas. These birds prefer environments near water sources and are often located close to human settlements. Their habitat extends across broader geographical regions, predominantly within savanna ecosystems, and includes arid zones as well as regions with higher rainfall in East Africa.
