Description
The slender-billed weaver (Ploceus pelzelni) is a species of bird in the weaver family, Ploceidae. It is found in central and western Africa.

Feeding Habits
Slender-billed Weaver primarily consumes insects, including caterpillars and ants. It forages with agility in trees, using its feet adapted for papyrus environments. Feeds alone, in pairs, or flocks, moving like white-eyes.
Habitat
The slender-billed Weaver is typically found in wetland environments, thriving amongst dense waterside vegetation like papyrus and ambatch thickets. Its preferred habitats include the vicinity of lakes, lagoons, marshes, and mangroves. Additionally, this species adapts to man-made landscapes, foraging in agricultural areas such as rice fields, and even visiting gardens and hedges within urban settings.
