Feeding Habits
Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird consumes insects and various fruits, notably swallowing mistletoe fruits whole. Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird employs regurgitation to disperse sticky seeds, serving as a crucial vector for mistletoe distribution.
Habitat
The yellow-fronted Tinkerbird inhabits a diversity of wooded environments predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa. Its preferred habitats encompass dry open woodlands, scrublands, Sahelian woodlands, and riverine forests. Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird is also found in grasslands with scattered trees, montane regions, and areas adjacent to pastures.
