 The red-billed scimitar babbler (Pomatorhinus ochraceiceps) is a species of bird in the family Timaliidae. It is found in Northeast India, Southeast Asia and adjacent parts of southern China. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

  Red-billed Scimitar Babbler consumes invertebrates such as snails, caterpillars, and beetles, along with nectar and seeds. Foraging typically in pairs or small groups, possibly with Gampsorhynchus babblers, red-billed Scimitar Babbler searches for food in the understory to mid-level forest, and sometimes probes flowers for nectar. 
    Habitat 
  Red-billed Scimitar Babbler typically inhabits broadleaf evergreen forests and areas dense with bamboo clumps. Additionally, they are found in forests dominated by the conifer Fokienia. These birds prefer forested environments within broader geographical regions that exhibit lush, evergreen vegetation.
