Feeding Habits
Grey-crowned Prinia primarily consumes insects, foraging both high in trees and near the ground amidst grasses. Although sightings of red pollen on their foreheads hint at nectar feeding, it's more likely from probing flowers for insects. Grey-crowned Prinia often joins mixed-species flocks for foraging.
Habitat
The grey-crowned Prinia typically inhabits the peripheries of sal and mixed forests that are rich in Themeda grass, especially the T. arundinacea species. It is also prevalent in areas with secondary growth near forest clearings, as well as along the ridges of low hills and adjacent to plains.
