Feeding Habits
Green Racquet-tail predominantly feeds on fruits like bananas, as well as blossoms and seeds from crops such as corn and rice. Their foraging behavior typically entails searching for these foods in their natural habitat. Green Racquet-tail has adapted to exploit agricultural areas for feeding.
Habitat
The green Racquet-tail predominantly resides in the canopy of tropical rainforests typically located in lowlands and foothills, favoring elevations up to 700 meters. This species adapts to various environments within this general ecosystem, including primary forests, forest edges, and occasionally ventures into open cultivated areas such as maize fields for feeding. While there are reports of green Racquet-tail in selectively logged and degraded forests, the long-term survivability and adaptability in these altered habitats remain uncertain.
