Description
The yellow-breasted flowerpecker (Prionochilus maculatus) is a species of bird in the family Dicaeidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

It squeezes the contents of large berries into its bill and discards the skin. Yellow-breasted Flowerpecker forages in middle and upper storeys, typically alone or in pairs.
Habitat
The yellow-breasted Flowerpecker thrives predominantly in lowland forest ecosystems, including dipterocarp, alluvial, secondary forests, and peatswamp-forests. It is also occasionally found in montane forests, at forest edges, as well as in human-modified landscapes such as scrublands, plantations, and cultivated areas.
