Description
The yellow-bibbed fruit dove (Ptilinopus solomonensis) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is found in the Bismarck and Solomon Islands archipelagos. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

The yellow-bibbed Fruit Dove favors a variety of forest environments across the Solomon Islands region and nearby archipelagos. Its preferred habitats include old-growth montane forests on larger islands and a mix of secondary habitats and gardens on smaller landmasses. The yellow-bibbed Fruit Dove is also known to populate lowland forests, which extend to secondary forests. Despite its presence in highland areas on some islands, it commonly resides at lower elevations on others, such as sea-level habitats on specific larger islands within its range.
