  The Asian red-eyed bulbul (Pycnonotus brunneus) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is found on the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

  Asian Red-eyed Bulbul primarily eats fruits like figs and berries, as well as seeds and invertebrates such as grasshoppers and caterpillars. Occasionally asian Red-eyed Bulbul may capture prey mid-flight and have been seen eating spiders. They forage alone or in small groups, often in lower forest layers, and sometimes join mixed-species flocks. 
    Habitat 
  The asian Red-eyed Bulbul typically resides in a range of forest habitats, including broadleaf evergreen, peatswamp-forest, and secondary growths, often frequenting edge areas. They adapt well to disturbed environments and are common in riverside and trackside vegetation, as well as in or near mature tree plantations like rubber. Occasionally, asian Red-eyed Bulbul may inhabit mangrove forests. These birds favor lower terrain but can be found in varied habitats across broader geographical regions in Southeast Asia.
