Description
The flavescent bulbul (Pycnonotus flavescens) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family of passerine birds. Its name comes from flavescent, a yellowish colour. It is found in south-eastern Asia.

Habitat
Flavescent Bulbul are typically found in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. They thrive in areas with dense undergrowth and are often observed in forest edge habitats, clearings, and secondary growths. These birds inhabit broad geographical regions characterized by montane and sub-montane broadleaved evergreen forests with elevations generally ranging from 800 to 2,100 meters, although they can locally range from 600 up to 3,500 meters. They are also known to inhabit scrub, grasslands, deserted cultivations, and even developed areas. The preference in elevation and habitat type can vary significantly across their geographic distribution.
