Feeding Habits
African Red-eyed Bulbul predominantly munches on a variety of fruits and arthropods, incorporating figs, mulberries, grapes, and insects like beetles, ants, and aphids. Adapts well to human presence, frequenting garden feeders and birdbaths.
Habitat
African Red-eyed Bulbul favors a variety of arid to semi-arid environments such as dry woodlands, acacia savannas, and shrublands. It thrives in riparian zones with bushy vegetation and in shrubby areas that punctuate otherwise barren landscapes. Additionally, african Red-eyed Bulbul can be found in human-modified habitats like orchards and gardens, particularly in areas that provide a combination of water sources and adequate tree or shrub cover.
