Description
The grey-headed bullfinch (Pyrrhula erythaca) is a species of finch in the family Fringillidae. It is sometimes known as Beavan's bullfinch. It is found in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Taiwan (the Taiwan population has been found to possibly represent a distinct species, P. owstoni). Its natural habitats are boreal forest and temperate forest.

Feeding Habits
Grey-headed Bullfinch consumes seeds, buds, catkins, especially from willow and birch, nectar from rhododendron, and some insects. Usually forages in low bushes or ground, often in pairs or small families.
Habitat
The habitat of grey-headed Bullfinch typically includes lower montane and submontane regions characterized by conifer and mixed forests. These forests often contain a rich mix of tree species such as juniper, hemlock, rhododendron, birch, larch, and thickets of willows, poplars, and sea-buckthorn. Grey-headed Bullfinch also inhabits deciduous forests in certain areas. During the non-breeding season, grey-headed Bullfinch can be found at slightly lower altitudes within their usual habitat range.
