Description
The red-headed bullfinch (Pyrrhula erythrocephala) is a species of finch in the family Fringillidae, found all across the Himalayas and adjacent highlands. It is found in Bhutan, northern India, Nepal and adjacent southern Tibet. Its natural habitat is temperate forests.

Feeding Habits
Red-headed Bullfinch primarily eats seeds from plants like birch and willows, along with berries, nectar, buds, and some insects. They forage in bushes or on the ground, often remaining stationary for extended periods. Red-headed Bullfinch feed alone or in single-sex and mixed flocks, with larger groups forming outside the breeding season.
Habitat
The habitat of red-headed Bullfinch comprises lower montane and submontane regions, characterized by dense cedar, juniper, and pine forests, as well as mixed deciduous woods with fir, birch, willow, and abundant rhododendron growth. These birds are also found in similar habitats during the non-breeding season, including oak and rhododendron woodlands, and often frequent scrublands near water sources like streams or rivers, particularly amid willows and underbrush.
