Feeding Habits
Large-headed Flatbill is primarily insectivorous, often foraging solo or sometimes with mixed-species groups. It remains stationary, surveilling its domain, and suddenly sallies forth to pluck prey from vegetation or mid-air in dense forests.
Habitat
The habitat of large-headed Flatbill typically includes humid forests which are seasonally inundated, often at the edges where dense bamboo thickets and thick undergrowth are prevalent. These birds are also found in disturbed plantation areas where Asian bamboo has been introduced, indicating a preference for bamboo-dominated environments across broader tropical regions.
