Rhinolophus celebensis is a mammal from the family of horseshoe noses (Rhinolophidae). The scientific name of the species was first validly published by K. Andersen in 1905.

Sulawesi horseshoe bat is a nocturnal and solitary animal, predominantly dwelling in caves. Using sophisticated echolocation for foraging, it consumes small insects and arthropods. Although not aggressively territorial, it returns to the same roosting site repeatedly, indicating some territorial fidelity. Unlike other species, it has a unique 'hovering' flight pattern when hunting.
