Feeding Habits
White-browed Fantail primarily consumes flying insects, especially flies and bugs. It forages in lower vegetation, seldom on the ground, catching prey in midair or from foliage. White-browed Fantail employs an active hunting style, characterized by aerial sallies and wing-flicking to flush out insects. This bird occasionally follows larger animals to catch disturbed insects and joins mixed-species flocks to feed.
Habitat
White-browed Fantail typically inhabits an array of woodland environments in tropical regions of South and Southeast Asia. The species thrives in diverse habitats such as dry dipterocarp and mixed deciduous forests, secondary scrubs, savannas, and even acacia-dominated areas. White-browed Fantail is also commonly found in orchards and trees along canals, adapting well to human-modified landscapes like gardens and urban areas. Their altitude range extends from the plains up to 1500 meters in the Indian Subcontinent and up to 1065 meters in Southeast Asia.
