Description
The blue-headed fantail (Rhipidura cyaniceps) is a fantail endemic to the northern Philippines where it is found on the islands of Luzon and Catanduanes. Until recently, it was considered conspecific with the Tablas fantail and Visayan fantail.

Feeding Habits
Blue-headed Fantail predominantly consumes insects, which are caught during quick, darting flights. Blue-headed Fantail typically forages from the understorey up to 15 meters high and occasionally participates in mixed-species foraging flocks.
Habitat
Blue-headed Fantail is typically found in a variety of forested environments, including both primary forests, especially those dominated by oak and pine, and edges of forests. It also inhabits areas of heavily disturbed secondary growth, showing a particular affinity for certain coniferous forests in highland regions. The species is prevalent within lowland areas but is adaptable to various wooded landscapes.
