Feeding Habits
Pale Sand Martin's diet mirrors that of its close relative, primarily feeding on insects. They often forage in groups, sometimes with other hirundines and swifts, in a fast, fluttery flight showcasing shallow, rapid wingbeats.
Habitat
The habitat of pale Sand Martin typically includes open country areas, often in proximity to water sources. These birds favor arid steppe regions and are known to roost in reedbeds. They are commonly found in broader geographical regions with sympatric overlap with the close relative R. riparia, but pale Sand Martin is generally located farther from water bodies compared to the latter.
