Description
The russet-crowned crake (Rufirallus viridis) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is found in the northern part of South America (in particular the eastern Amazon, the Guyana Shield and the Atlantic Forest). Its natural habitats are dry savanna, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, and pastureland.

Habitat

Although not primarily a marsh bird, it has been observed in swamps in certain regions. The russet-crowned Crake is mainly terrestrial but is also adept at climbing in bushy branches.
