Description
The tropical scrubwren or Beccari's scrubwren (Sericornis beccarii) is a bird species. Placed in the family Pardalotidae in the Sibley-Ahlquist taxonomy, this has met with opposition and indeed is now known to be wrong; they rather belong to the independent family Acanthizidae. It is found in tropical moist forests of northern Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

Feeding Habits
Tropical Scrubwren primarily eats a wide array of arthropods. It forages in the understory and mid-levels of forests, examining tree trunks, branches, moss, and leaf litter. Tropical Scrubwren adapts its foraging behavior depending on its habitat, from ground-level to vine thickets, often in small groups and sometimes joining mixed-species flocks.
Habitat
Tropical Scrubwren is commonly found in a variety of dense, tropical forest environments. Its preferred habitats include rainforests, riverine forests, monsoon forests, and vine thickets at lower altitudes, while at higher terrains, it is adapted to hill forests, lower montane forests, and areas of secondary growth.
