Description
The white-browed nuthatch (Sitta victoriae) is a species of bird in the nuthatch family. It is endemic to Myanmar. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The endangered white-browed nuthatch is known only from the Mount Victoria area of Myanmar, where forest up to 2,000 m has been almost totally cleared and habitat between 2,000-2,500 m has been heavily degraded. The population of a few thousand birds is decreasing, and no conservation measures are in place.

Feeding Habits
White-browed Nuthatch primarily feeds on small insects, gleaning food from mosses, lichens, and under dislodged bark. It forages alone or in pairs, favoring outer branches of oaks and rhododendrons.
Habitat
The white-browed Nuthatch is typically found in Oak-rhododendron forests. These birds favor mature forest environments where they can access the rich canopy and forest undergrowth. Their geographical range extends across areas where they coexist with related species, often at higher altitudes compared to their cousins, although specifics of their elevation preferences are excluded here. These forests are characterized by a combination of oak and rhododendron trees, providing the white-browed Nuthatch with resources like nesting sites and food.
