  Feeding Habits
Copper Seedeater's diet consists primarily of grass seeds, gleaned both from clinging to stems and foraging on the ground. Feeding often occurs in pairs, but copper Seedeater may join flocks outside the breeding season, showing adaptable social feeding behaviors.
    Habitat
The copper Seedeater is typically found in open cerrado landscapes, savannas, and mature tall-grass grasslands. These environments provide the general ecological conditions necessary for the species' survival and are characterized by their spatial openness and vegetation structure, providing suitable foraging and nesting grounds. The copper Seedeater occupies these habitats within broader tropical and subtropical regions, refraining from specificity in elevation given the exclusion criteria.
