Description
The lined seedeater (Sporophila lineola) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, pastureland, and heavily degraded former forest.

Lined Seedeater primarily feasts on a variety of seeds, especially grass seeds, showcasing a granivorous diet. Habitat

The lined Seedeater's breeding habitat includes edges of woodlands and forests, particularly up to an elevation of 500 meters, although it can migrate to elevations as high as 1500 meters. During the non-breeding period, the lined Seedeater occupies open grassy savannas, shrubby clearings, and areas with tall grass, often in proximity to water sources.
