Description
The speckle-fronted weaver (Sporopipes frontalis) is a species of bird in the family Ploceidae. It is found in Africa from Mauritania and Gambia in the west to Ethiopia and Tanzania in the east. Its natural habitat is dry savanna.

Feeding Habits
Speckle-fronted Weaver primarily consumes seeds and occasionally small insects, such as flying termites. It forages by hopping on the ground, often in open gravelly areas, and is associated with waxbills.
Habitat
Speckle-fronted Weaver's natural habitat encompasses regions characterized by dry thornveld, scrub, and thicket environments. These areas are typically populated with flora such as acacia, Salvadora persica, and Butyrispermum trees. Notably, in the Sahel region, speckle-fronted Weaver displays a strong association with acacia-dominated landscapes. The species is also frequently observed in the vicinity of human settlements.
