Description
The cinereous-breasted spinetail (Synallaxis hypospodia) is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. The term cinereous describes its colouration. It is found in northern Bolivia, Brazil and far southeastern Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland and heavily degraded former forest.

Cinereous-breasted Spinetail presumably consumes arthropods gleaned from foliage and small branches, typically foraging within 1-2 meters of the ground, most commonly seen in pairs.
Habitat
The cinereous-breasted Spinetail typically inhabits low, seasonally wet grasslands and second-growth scrub areas. Their preferred environments are open areas interspersed with a combination of low shrubs and grasses and are often found near bodies of water. The species is also associated with campinas and savanna-like regions.
