Description
The collared antshrike (Thamnophilus bernardi) is a species of bird in the family Thamnophilidae. It is found in Ecuador and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland.

Collared Antshrike can be typically found in a variety of arid to semi-arid landscapes, including deciduous forests and desert scrublands. These birds also inhabit areas characterized by shrubby regeneration following disturbances such as clearing or fire, which provide dense thickets necessary for their foraging and nesting.
