The lined Antshrike is typically found in the understory and mid-story of humid evergreen forests, particularly at the edges where vegetation is dense and tangled. Their preferred environments extend to shrubby areas undergoing regeneration, plantations, clearings, and the peripheries of parks and gardens in broader tropical regions.
