The buff-bellied tanager (Thlypopsis inornata) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae.

Feeding Habits
Buff-bellied Tanager primarily consumes small arthropods and showcases active foraging, often close to the ground or up in trees. It forages alone or in small groups, gleaning food from leaves and inspecting flowers.
Habitat
Buff-bellied Tanager typically thrives in dry, semi-arid regions characterized by shrubby second growth and a light canopy of dry forests. Their preferred environments also include dry scrub and brush found along rivers and ravines, as well as brushy clearings. These birds are generally associated with areas of lowland dry habitats, avoiding higher elevation regions.
