Habitat
The ultramarine Kingfisher's typical habitat consists of subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests within broader Pacific regions. Preferring areas from sea level up to 2000 meters, the ultramarine Kingfisher thrives in a variety of wooded environments including dense primary and secondary forests, Casuarina groves, forest margins, and regenerating scrubland. The bird is also known to inhabit wooded gardens and areas with scattered trees. Although it is uncommon within the cores of primary forests, it is more frequently observed along forest edges and in secondary growth forests.
