Adult African green pigeons have maroon patches on the top of their wings and the juveniles have an olive color. The upperparts are grayish-green to yellowish-green; the thighs are yellow; and the feet and bill are red with the bill having a white tip

Feeding Habits
African Green Pigeon primarily consumes fruits, including figs and berries, along with some seeds, buds, nectar, and occasionally flesh. African Green Pigeon forages in trees, adeptly climbing and hanging to reach food, often in groups, rarely ground-feeding.
Habitat

This includes riverine forests, populated with trees like Ficus, and dense woodlands such as Brachystegia and Combretum. Additionally, african Green Pigeon occupies the edges of evergreen forests, tree clumps within savannas, and in regions where mangroves are prominent. The species is adapted to a broad range of wooded habitats across major geographical regions in Africa.
