The pale-vented thrush (Turdus obsoletus) is a species of bird in the family Turdidae. It is found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Pale-vented Thrush predominantly consumes fruits, including palm fruits and berries, as well as arillate seeds and various invertebrates. Its foraging involves searching the foliage and sometimes hunting for prey, displaying a preference for a diverse diet.
Habitat
Pale-vented Thrush occupies the mid to lower canopies of humid, subtropical foothill forests, with a predisposition for densely vegetated subcanopy and mid-canopy areas. They thrive in lower forests with clearings or alongside riverine woodlands, and adapt to tall secondary growth near pristine environments. Typically found at elevations of 500 to 1900 meters, pale-vented Thrush occasionally ventures into pastoral landscapes and secondary growths outside breeding periods.
