Feeding Habits
Varzea Thrush likely possesses an omnivorous diet, primarily consuming fruit pulp and seeds, including small palm fruits. Foraging behavior includes searching for food at lower levels, on lower branches of partly submerged trees, and on damp leaf litter near swamps, often alone or in small groups.
Habitat
Varzea Thrush primarily inhabit várzea forests, a type of seasonal floodplain forest occurring alongside whitewater rivers. They are also found in regions with open white-sand forest or savanna and at the edges of disturbed forests. These areas are typically in close proximity to larger expanses of flooded or intermittently flooded forests, which align with the habitats favored by other populations of the species.
