Feeding Habits
La Selle Thrush forages on the ground for earthworms and insects, supplementing its diet with fruits. This thrush has adapted to exploit diverse food sources, adjusting its feeding behavior to the availability of these staples.
Habitat
The la Selle Thrush is predominantly found in the lush, dense understories of wet montane broadleaf forests and occasionally in pine forests that boast a rich broadleaf understory. Preferring elevations of 1,300 to 2,100 meters, these birds thrive in regions where climbing bamboo proliferates. The la Selle Thrush favors moist, sheltered environments, often around geological formations like limestone outcroppings, sinkholes, and ravines.
