Description
The red-billed malkoha (Zanclostomus javanicus) is a species of cuckoo in the family Cuculidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests.

Feeding Habits
Red-billed Malkoha predominantly feeds on large insects, including cicadas, stick insects, grasshoppers, mantids, and beetles. They also consume spiders, winged termites, caterpillars, and crustaceans, employing active foraging techniques to hunt their prey.
Habitat
The red-billed Malkoha primarily inhabits tall tree canopies across various forest types, including evergreen, semi-evergreen, dipterocarp, and peat swamp forests, both in their pristine and secondary stages. They are also found in forest peripheries, plantations of Eucalyptus and Albizia, mixed secondary growth, and bamboo thickets. These birds are typically associated with lowland terrains, but may also occupy hilly regions, steering clear of elevational specifics.
