Description
The golden-faced tyrannulet (Zimmerius chrysops) is a species of bird belonging to the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest. Until recently, it included the Choco tyrannulet, Coopmans's tyrannulet, and Loja tyrannulet as subspecies.

Feeding Habits
Golden-faced Tyrannulet mainly consumes insects and various small berries like mistletoe. It forages alone or in pairs within the forest canopy, using perch-gleaning, sally-strikes, and hover-gleaning to capture prey, often joining mixed-species flocks.
Habitat
The golden-faced Tyrannulet is commonly found in diverse forest environments, typically inhabiting humid montane forests, forest edges, and secondary-growth woodlands. It is also known to inhabit semi-deciduous forests and agricultural areas, including coffee plantations. These birds are often observed in gardens within these broader regions.
